Marian Genet (1990, Amsterdam) is a multidisciplinary artist who is fascinated and deeply touched by the power of colour.
She makes tapestries, paintings, documentary photography and textile works. The emphasis is on colour, energy and movement. The unique human being is central in her work. Marian collects stories and experiences of people from all layers of society, that give colour to their lives and their environment. She translates these stories into her work. She tries to take the viewer along in an arrangement of positivity, femininity, sensuality, vulnerability, colour, energy and movement.
Her works are tactile, soft and full of energy. Marian Genet wants to give the world more colour with her art.
